Juromenha

 The walls of the fortress seem to accompany the margins of the Guadiana river. Walking along the fortress is one of several ways to discovering Alqueva. This fortress was inhabited until 1920 and is now being considered for the development of a touristic complex that includes the recovery and refurbishment of the ancient buildings.

Estremoz

 The white city of Estremoz is divided in two characteristic and distinct areas: “praça alta (the highest part of the city, on the top of the hill) and “praça baixa” (lower part that surrounds the city at ground level. Up on the hill, you can spot the primitive houses, the castle and its medieval tower surrounded by the walls of castle.
