ACTIVITIES
Bicycle and pedestrian outings
Enclosed by a 600 acres property of woodland, the Hotel has set up several pedestrian courses, adequately identified and signalized.
With several levels of difficulty, you can start by exploring the vegetable gardens, the orchards and the different gardens that surround the buildings, with no need to follow directions or follow specific trails. Simply wander about and enjoy!
But if you are an adventurer, feel free to choose the longer courses. Be sure to include a visit to the chapel of Nossa Senhora do Monte Virgem, to the village Aldeia da Serra and to the fountain of the Senhora da Saúde.
Alternatively, you can follow the same trails but on a bicycle or driving an all-road vehicle and add the highest spot of the Serra – Alto de São Gens – to your itinerary.
Whichever alternative you choose, be sure to do it early, to enjoy the freshness of the morning air.
Swimming pools and Tennis
Two outdoor pools and a tennis court are also available so that you can make the most of your free time.
Wine tastings
Combining artisanal traditions with the most advanced producing and treatment technologies has made it possible to continuously develop and improve the viticulture industry in the Alentejo.
The Hotel Convento de São Paulo has established a partnership with some of the local wineries thus giving our guests the opportunity to visit them and maybe even taste some of their wines.
Quinta do Carmo

Pottery
The village of Redondo is well known for its pottery products. A visit to the local workshops and the Museu do Barro. (Museum of Clay) is something you should not miss.
